You may know me as the hot mess lady or green haired chicken lady, but my name is Savannah! Around five years ago we moved onto land alongside my parents and I got chickens again after not having them for years. I wanted to get them just for eggs for our family, but we know how that goes. I dove right into chicken math, processing to avian algebra.

I grew my social media over the years and I have the best community of crazy chickens ladies and gents! I am so thankful to have so many supportive people and have the opportunity to learn from amazing breeders out there.

My passion is colorful eggs and pretty birds. I for sure fall into the “color basket” hobby breeder category versus show quality exhibition breeder category.

My goal is to breed gentle birds that have beautiful feathers and lay stunning shades of greens, blues, chocolates and speckles. On The Hot Mess Homestead we don’t keep aggressive birds, if we don’t trust them to be around our kids we don’t keep them.
